Every website owner in the extensive online world seeks the achievement of the same dream: A limitless influx of targeted guests on their domains, admiring their works, reading their contents and putting their advertisements and presentations into account.

The moment you ponder at the great sources of website visitors, you typically end up thinking about either of these 2 trusted methods of traffic generation: SEO or PPC Marketing. Nevertheless, the instance you ponder at these, you’ll come to a point asking what the real deal is between these two. Which do I choose?

Frankly, both methods are very necessary ways in today’s business world. If the issue is whether to go with one or otherwise, we say go with both means…as long as the Return on Investment is positive for either one. If you haven’t tried one of the two, try PPC first. You will come back with answers faster.

Of course, these two have their distinctive pros and cons. What you will get relies totally on how you view, utilize, and take advantage of these critical factors.

Timeliness: PPC search marketing is the clear winner on this one, for it takes longer for Search Engine Optimization efforts to translate to significant traffic compared to how quicker a proficient Pay Per Click marketing opration will. Depending on how fine and steady the SEO labors are, it may take as swift as ten days or as long as a couple of months to get some results from the search engines.

Cost Efficiency: If you personally handle all the SEO work, then the costs are bound to your time only. Adversely, doing it all by yourself and coming up with a promising SEO approach initially, could and would take up days up to weeks or months of your priceless time. On the other hand, if you decide on hiring the services of a Search Engine Optimizer, you must be willing and able to compose the asset for the long run. Then again, PPC costs could only cost more or less basing on your plan. As your operation moves forward and the traffic pours in, the total accumulates because PPC is a changeable cost compared to Search Engine Optimization’s set search management cost.

Research – When it comes to search marketing research, the two means require balanced work primarily. Search Engine Optimization and Pay Per Click both depend on keywords, therefore you are warranted to locate high volume keywords essential to your domain, or employ a PPC management company to perform the work for you. Naturally, a Pay Per Click campaign’s hot keywords normally don’t come cheap, while SEO will consume more time and expend more effort to position significantly for a highly proficient keyword.

Maintenance – Both methods warrants time and regular attention. Still the onsite SEO labors get easier after your primary tasks for a keyword, you will still be needed to obtain back-links on a regular basis to lead the opposition, while a PPC campaign will have your interest necessities softened after a few months of tryout. Past that, all that’s left to do is some routine sustenance.

Excellent PPC and SEO efforts could nourish your domains with massive amounts of traffic, and in return essentially improve the chances of actually making a sale or getting your services employed. The above basis are the criterion on picking which ways will act as your primary source of visits. Furthermore, if you are faced with the question of whether you ought to do PPC when you have fine natural positioning, the answer is yes without a doubt. If they both have a good Return on Investment; then yes. Positive ROI in Adwords? Do SEO. Fine natural ranking? Go with PPC. The more benefits you have the merrier. Any good SEO and PPC management company knows both will do better if they have returning well. A strong SEO PPC effort is surely the way to go

Build an Opt-in List Now

How to Build an Double Opt-in Email List

If you’re just getting into internet marketing, or if you’ve been in it for a while, I’m sure you’ve heard the buzz about how important an email list is.  There are so many different websites out there that tell you the most important thing in building your business is your opt-in subscriber list.

If that’s true, then the number one question you should be asking yourself is “how do I build an opt-in subscriber list?”

Assuming you already have an autoresponder set up, the next step is to promote your opt-in form.  There are many places you can put your opt-in form, such as your website or blog, or you can do a specific page that outlines the product or service you want people to sign up for.  This is commonly known as a squeeze page.  One of the best ways to get people to sign up is offering something for free in exchange for their information.  You can view an example of a squeeze page right here: Free Affiliate Link Cloaker

After you have your autoresponder and opt-in form ready to roll, you need to send traffic to your blog.  A quick way to get people to your squeeze page or opt-in form is joining a Giveaway event.  A giveaway event is an amazing tool that enables people who are looking to build an opt-in list quickly to do it effectively.

Here’s how a giveaway event works:

1.)  You first sign up for the giveaway event for free as a contributor (or a member).

2.)  You add your free gift (the one from your squeeze page).

3.)  People who have joined the giveaway event as a member then browse the free gifts and sign up for ones they are interested in.

4.)  Your opt-in list is built 3 times as fast as the normal promotion methods.

Some giveaway events are not as successful as others, but there have been times contributors have captured a subscriber list of 500 people or more just from the event.

Your gift will be shown more compared to the number of points you have.  You get points by either upgrading (optional), or promoting the event.  The more people you get signed up to join the event, the more points you get, thus the more times your gift will be seen (which of course goes without saying, the more opt-ins you will acquire.)

Join a Giveaway Event as a Contributor and build your opt-in list fast.

Quickbooks online

Obviously not everyone is able to work remotely as lots of careers require people to consistently attend their place of work or travel to perform their tasks in person. But for those of us who are allowed to work remotely then I thought it would be useful to share my experiences and give some practical guidance by distributing it online in the hope that I could give others helpful timesavers for adapting to remote working or supervising remote workers.

I should warn you that there are many people out there who will try and make you purchase online education for substantial sums of money, trust me you don’t need to do this.

I am privileged to be allowed to work anywhere I choose and just about everyone who asks me what job I do wants to learn how I am able to work remotely. Don’t misinterpret me I am still learning about the science of remote working as everyday I come across individuals on the web who teach me new methods and I am repeatedly finding new technologies and methods that make my life simpler and make me more effective.

In the past seven years I have steadily adapted my working processes to enable me to do all of my work remotely with a kit of online tools and rigid self discipline. One late night whilst searching the Internet I uncovered Quickbooks online and this made me think about what just might be possible. The discovery of web based ‘on demand’ small business accounting software was inspiration for me and the launch pad of my ‘remote working experience.

I have got to inform you up front that productively working remotely is as much about the software as it is about self management. Working remotely also means putting it to your co-workers, supervisors and customers as to what they can expect and how they will interact with you.

In ‘Remote Working Part 2 – Things you should know about managing yourself’ I steer you through how to focus.

self management more….

Before I give you my arsenal of my favourite web tools that are sure to assist you to work remotely, I need to write about one more issue concerning self discipline and especially to do with maintaining your focus and powers of concentration

I’ve discovered and confirmed a consistent behavior in individuals who work online and I’ve been in contact with for a substantial period and I call this habit the 50 minute rule. I identified these friends who concentrate and work for fifty minutes and then always take a whole ten mins. break and are considerably more effective and generate a significantly better quality of work than contacts who don’t have set working methods.

OK as promised here is my list of choice remote working software:

Electronic Mail

Google Mail won’t cost you a penny. But in my opinion the search & label (categories) features have no equal. The only disadvantage so far is that I have seen it run quite slowly on lower spec.computers

Phone calls

Skype
occasionally drove me to despair as the service quality and reliability was down right horrible, but hats off for the coders at Skype now as they have really improved the quality of the service. For just a few bucks a month ! am able to call and conference in any telephone and Skype subscriber on the planet. The current version of Skype has a collection of very practical functions and there is an ever growing list of useful add ons.

Organising Content

Evernote
has acquired over a million users in no time at all – it lets you to store, organise and annotate any species of digital content up on the Internet. Just go check it out…it’s free.

Invoicing, Time and Expenses capture, Accounting and CRM

You surely know that my ambition to work remotely was originally encouraged by Quickbooks Online, a small business accounting software web application. But it is easily beaten hands down by the free edition of salesorder.com – a lead to cash system that’s as easy to use as a hairbrush I looked at NetSuite whose pricing (and people) scared me off. My choice here is salesorder.com – Go check it out.

When you hear the term “internet marketing“, what do you think of?

For many, that term conjures thoughts of websites or spamming or search engines like Google, Yahoo and Bing. For others, it’s all about graphical design, writing fancy code or even affiliate programs. All of those answers correct, but the essence of internet marketing is much simpler.

At its core, internet marketing is about these things:

* Understanding the target market to which the product/service/cause you’re marketing will appeal
* Determining exactly how your target market interacts with the internet
* Positioning your content on the internet to attract the attention of your target market
* Collecting information about your target market (also known as “leads”) for follow-up and conversion into sales
* Design of offers or incentives to induce the desired actions from your leads

Since there is insufficient space in this article to give all of these topics adequate attention, let’s focus on just one specific topic with the realm of internet marketing: Email Marketing.

My best payoff has always come by focusing on permission-based email marketing. Permission-based email marketing refers to the practice of collecting information (including email addresses) from website visitors and communicating with them via e-mail with their direct consent. The “permission” aspect of permission-based email marketing is what separates legitimate email marketers from the spammers that everyone despises.

My love of email marketing is strong for one reason: It works very well. Email marketing has been much like a never-ending goldmine: It enables us to produce income on demand simply by sending a good offer to our list. When you have thousands of loyal subscribers - as we do - and you put a strong and compatible offer in front of them, income becomes nearly automatic.

However, the key to successful email marketing is the development of a legitimate trust relationship with your subscribers. If you opt to send your subscribers a request for purchases every single day, they will likely tire of your badgering and cease reading your emails altogether.

Alternatively, if you take the time to provide good content to your readers on a regular and frequent basis, you’ll discover that your readers take all of your emails far more seriously, and as a result your emails will be opened, read and acted upon with greater frequency. Essentially, email marketing is really an exercise in trust.

Even though there are more sides to internet marketing than just email marketing (permission based), email has been the foundation that our business sits on.

Email Autoresponder Video

A mailing list in full use with decent auto-responders is a joy to see and literally poetry in motion. If your not sure what an auto-responder is, be sure to check out the link at the bottom of this article.

How would you like to sell a product to a customer and then market more of your products to that same customer in the future automatically without having to do anything (apart from setting up a process one time only?

Interested? Mailing lists are big business, and lots of businesses fail to see just how important capturing a customers email address can be.

Even if you do not have your own product i.e. if you are an affiliate marketer for other peoples products I am going to try to convince you of the importance of a mailing list you can use to market over and over to customers.

Logically, it makes sense to sell to existing customers doesn’t it? You have bought this existing customer to your website in the past and hopefully because you gave outstanding service and the product they purchased exceeded their expectations, they will be much more receptive to you for any new products you offer in the future.

Having the customer (or even potential customers) on a mailing list makes sense doesn’t it? It’s a great way to keep in touch and to keep your name in their Inbox (hopefully for good reasons!) and is a great way to convert potential buyers into customers and existing customers in repeat-business customers.

It starts with the mailing list. It’s very important to capture the visitors name and email address when they get to your website, so that you have an opportunity to build a relationship with them in the future.

So how do you go about that? Remember, many people are reluctant to give out thier email address to just anyone, because we all hate spam, and you have to have built up a level of rapport before people are comfortable giving you their email address. It’s really a catch-22 isn’t it?

Well two things will help here, firstly the quality of the information on your website will be a real plus. Relevant quality content will show the visitor that this is not a dodgy website, but rather a real website run by a real person.

Having a privacy policy and real contact information including phone numbers is also very important and helps in showing your customer that you are a real living person.

With all that said, many potential customers would still be reluctant to give you their email address, so you have to give out an incentive, a reason for them to give you their email address.

When considering finding out more about email list management; it pays to do a little research first as a further way to move forward faster!

This is where a useful report, a useful e-Book, or other information can become quite handy. Tell the visitor if they sign up to your mailing list, they get access to the report, or whatever it is that you are offering free of charge. If you have not got anything else to give away, think outside the square.

What about offering a coupon to be used to claim a discount when ordering, or some other benefit.

People get the chance to find out more about you, your products and services with auto-responders. Often it may take five or more pieces of “content” before someone feels comfortable enough to purchase something from you.

I have purchased a lot (and when I say a lot the emphasis is on the words a lot) of e-Books in my time, and the quality of a fair portion of them was sub-average at best.

In many cases I would not have purchased the e-Book if I had read some of it first, but on the other hand there are some purchases I have not made because I wasn’t sure what to expect quality wise, and being able to read a few chapters might just have piursuaded me to buy the book).

The thing to remember with free giveaways is to make sure it’s a quality product and relevant to your site. If your freebie turns out to be useless to your subscriber and not of value, they are going to unsubscribe faster than you can say “oops I blew it”.

Speaking of un-subscribing, it’s also very important for the visitor to know they can un-subscribe anytime without penalty, so make sure you make this clear on the sign up/opt-in page, and then ensure you actually do unsubscribe them if you receive a request to do so.

Auto-responders really are the bee’s knee’s (Aussie slang for best you can get).

Automating things is one of the first steps to achieving truly great things, and an auto-responder is a great thing to use to automate your customer or potential customer follow-up.

Read my auto-responder Article for specific techniques on how to follow up customers and some of the rules of the game.

There are lots of companies providing mailing list and auto-responder automation. If you do any research you will find that AWeber is generally acknowledged to be one of the best, and I use them exclusively.

If your in the market for this type of automation, I suggest you check them out.

One of the great things they offer a full no risk30 day and even a free trial. Mailing lists can be one of the most effective ways to ramp up traffic to your site by getting prospects or customers coming back over and over again.

Mailing Lists Are Something you should look into in your quest for more web site traffic.

Make Money With Autoresponders

Do you have an auto responder yet?

If not, why not?

The most basic requirement for success online beyond the prerequisite decision to start an online business, is to acquire a professional auto responder service.

Let’s review the different uses of an autoresponder service and how you can choose one that is best suited for your business. I’m sure that you will agree with me when I say that building a good relationship with prospective customers can really result to a lasting and more profitable online business. People nowadays don’t right away buy on the net especially that there has been a massive influx of scams online. Indeed, it is always safer to buy from people you know or trust, right? Sending emails to your potential customers can really help a lot in relationship building.

I farted around for some time before I finally caved in and agreed to spend $20 a month with my auto responder company. While I learned stuff during that interim period, I squandered a lot of opportunity. I could have been building my list from the get go, and didn’t. My loss.

If you are just starting out, and are serious about building business online but have not yet acquired an auto responder service let me advise you to do it today.

Even with the use of an autoresponder service, your mails can still have that personalized appeal and readers would still feel your warmth and sincerity even if the message is automated. It has something to do with how you write the contents.

This one requires a different blog post. Anyway, going back to maximizing an autoresponder service, you can also use this one for customer servicing. If a person would purchase your product, they will automatically receive a confirmation email thanking them for the purchase and giving them some important information on how to contact you in case they encounter a problem with your product.

The sending of correspondence does not really just stops there because you may utilize your autoresponder service to keep these people updated in case you have new products or promos. For newbies in internet marketing, you need to use autoresponder for business.

backlink

There is no point in creating a website unless you have thought about how you are going to get visitors. It doesn’t matter what content you intend to put on your web pages there can only be one reason for a web pages existence and that is to get people to visit it. You should be focusing the majority of your efforts on getting your visitors from the search engines. Certainly the lowest cost and best targeted traffic will always be brought to you by the search engines.

Search engines stay in business by understanding what the user are searching for and delivering relevant results. The more relevant and precise the search results the better the user experience and therefore the greater the chance the user will user will return. The more often the searchers return the greater the search engines fortunes. You and your web pages face a similar challenge.Get more users and get them to return often.

So how do you go about doing this?. There are two paths to achieving this and the good news is you can if you have the money do both. You can write useful and relevant content or you can use the advertising methods offered by search engines and other properties.

From a search engines perspective there are only keywords and key phrases without these content on the Internet simply doesn’t exist. The whole user experience starts with a keyword or key phrase being entered into the search engine to tell it what the user is looking for. The keyword entered by the user causes the search engine to search its indexes for the most accurate and relevant web pages. Search engines decide what web pages are returned by using two prime factors – authority and relevance.

Relevance is determined by the occurrence of keywords in the web page content and authority is largely derived from back links from other web pages. Search engines calculate the position of a web page in a returned list of results by measuring the authority and number of backlinks to each page.

Back links are the sledge hammers of SEO (Search Engine Optimisation).

Back links have two major functions – routing traffic to your web pages and helping the search engines determine the ranking of your web pages in the results returned by a user search. People searching for and reading relevant content will click on the back links that contain text related to their quest and subsequently be directed to your web pages. The text label on a back link is often commonly called ‘Anchor Text’ and is used by search engines in the algorithms that determine back link value. Whilst all back links are of value some are more valuable than others.

Back links from pages with authority in eyes of the search engine can pass authority onto your web pages. The higher the authority of the linking pages, the higher is the authority passed to your pages.
